A Virtual Reality Tour of First Century Bethlehem - Calvary Baptist Church

Calvary Baptist Church in Winter Haven invites everyone to go back in time to ancient Bethlehem as they present “Bethlehem Marketplace” on Dec. 12, 13, and 14 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. on the church grounds. This is not a “sit and watch” play, but a live interactive experience featuring a cast of over 120 people and live animals.

The whole family is invited to visit Bethlehem just as Mary and Joseph would have seen it more than 2,000 years ago when they came to the bustling town to take part in the census. Cast members take you “back in time” as they act out the busy streets Mary and Joseph walked along looking for an inn. And the streets are busy indeed. Last year an estimated 2,500 people visited the event.

This live event is open to the public and free of charge, though donations are accepted. Calvary Baptist Church is located on 2101 Overlook Dr. SE in Winter Haven. For more information call the church office at 863-324-4262.
