Peace River Center, a licensed and nationally accredited, non-profit provider of behavioral health care and victim services, recently celebrated 20 years of Club Success, a mental illness recovery program. Established in 2005, Peace River Center’s Club Success operates under the evidence-based Clubhouse International model, which is implemented in more than 370 Clubhouses across 32 countries. The program provides a community-driven environment where participants, called “members,” work alongside staff to develop life skills, pursue education, secure housing, and obtain transitional employment opportunities through local partnerships. These opportunities help Club Success members rebuild their lives, develop independence, and strengthen connections to their community. “During the last 20 years, Club Success has helped more than 1,200 individuals move beyond stigma and toward opportunity,” said Larry G. Williams, Jr., CEO of Peace River Center. “This celebration is not only about honoring the program but also about recognizing the courage and achievements of the members who make this community so meaningful.”
The 20th Anniversary celebration brought together current and former Club Success members, Peace River Center team members, community supporters, including local elected officials, and partners to honor the program’s success and reaffirm its commitment to serving Polk County for years to come.
