 The Winter Haven Economic Development Council (WHEDC) is seeking a dynamic President to serve as chief executive of our public-private partnership in one of Florida's fastest-growing communities. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President will lead efforts to attract business investment, support retention and expansion, drive major redevelopment, and implement a 5-year strategic plan to boost job creation, capital investment, and overall economic vitality.
This role involves forging strong partnerships with city/county officials, stakeholders, developers, and investors; overseeing marketing, community engagement, incentive strategies, and measurable outcomes. We are seeking an experienced leader with a background in economic development, real estate/urban planning, government relations, and knowledge of the Central Florida market.
