At the Winter Haven Chamber, we give our community and members a variety off opportunities to get plugged into our organization! There are opportunities to volunteer at our events, sponsor the Chamber/events, advocate for our community and serve on any of our various committees. Below you will find a list of our active committees. Please read each description below to get an idea of which committee you would most like to serve on. Serving on a committee is more than adding something to your resume. It's a chance to make a difference in your community!
Endeavor Winter Haven Young Professionals Group Endeavor is a place for young professionals age 21-42 to develop their career, learn about the community, develop professionally and connect with other young professionals. Learn more.
Endeavor Serves This free program, developed by Baylis & Co., is designed to provide comprehensive training for professionals interested in community service through board participation. This 10-hour course will detail the fundamentals of effective board service with program instructors who are well-respected community leaders and non-profit agency directors from a wide variety of backgrounds and professions. Ambassadors Our Ambassadors assist fellow chamber members by attending events to meet/greet/welcome members; contact existing members, to be "Cheerleaders" for our Chamber; represent Chamber at ribbon cuttings, Networking Showcases, Chamber special events, etc. This is an ideal way for members to grow their own network and become more visible within the Chamber community. Education Committee This group meets on a monthly basis from October to May, and its main purpose is to promote partnerships between the business and education communities through partnership with the Winter Haven Public Education Partnership and to raise public awareness of matters of importance in our schools. Government & Legislative Affairs Committee One of the core functions of the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce is advocacy. Our Government and Legislative Affairs committee meets monthly to examine issues on the local and state level that are impacting our community.Learn More.
