Today, A-C-T Environmental & Infrastructure, Inc. (A-C-T) celebrates 30 years in business. Founded in Lakeland in 1987 as American Compliance Technologies, Inc., the business expanded its brand by adding the A-C-T d/b/a status to further encompass the growth of consulting and contracting services. From humble beginnings in leased space in a small executive plaza, A-C-T’s current corporate headquarters sits on an 8-acre campus in Bartow, and includes six regional offices in Tampa, Gainesville, Orlando, Naples, Sarasota, and Ft. Lauderdale. A multi-disciplined “full-service” professional engineering, environmental & earth sciences, infrastructure, and field services firm, A-C-T has Florida and the nation covered. Now that’s something to celebrate. Rob Kincart founded A-C-T with a firm philosophy for success. A·C·T strives to provide risk-mitigating and cost effective solutions to its customers’ needs while delivering an incredible customer experience. “We know that if we take care of our staff, our staff will take care of our customers,” Rob noted. “We accomplish this by only hiring the best and brightest team members who thrive on delivering results through their Attitude, Contribution and Teamwork.” With a growing list of 80+ employees, many who have been with A-C-T for more than 10 years, and some who have been there 20+ years, Rob is very proud of the fact that A·C·T was named “Best Places to Work” by both Florida Trend magazine and CareerSource Polk. “We know that our folks spend a majority of their waking hours at work, so we take our job of providing a great work environment seriously,” he added. Two of Rob’s three children – Jeff Kincart and Jennifer Kincart Jonsson serve as vice presidents of A-C-T. Jeff’s wife, Julie, works with our administration group, and Jennifer’s husband, Eric Jonsson, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist in the Science Department. The Kincarts and Jonssons, along with A-C-T employees, are involved in the community – serving on charitable boards and raising awareness and funds for many worthy organizations. “What truly makes me happiest is having people come up to me or our folks who are wearing A-C-T logoed apparel and say, ‘Thank you for what your company does in our community,’” Rob Kincart said, grinning. “It makes our staff feel wonderful, and lets me know we have made a positive impact. It’s also great for staff and business retention.”
