It is with great excitement that the All Saints Academy Board of Trustees introduces Elizabeth Hardage, who has been unanimously selected by the Search Committee, and unanimously approved by the Board of Trustees, for appointment as the next Head of School of All Saints Academy. Elizabeth Hardage will succeed Carolyn Baldwin effective July 1, 2020. Elizabeth is currently serving as an educational consultant based in Jacksonville, FL. She was most recently the Head of School at Daystar Academy in Beijing, China, a two-campus K-12 dual Chinese-English immersion school with over 870 students. Her professional career has been spent in education, serving as a teacher, assistant principal, consultant and administrator domestically and in China. Elizabeth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a concentration in China/Chinese Language from Florida State University. She also holds a Masters degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment.
Elizabeth’s educational philosophy and practice focuses on providing students a supportive environment through which they can take risks and express their creativity while developing their character and the desire to serve their community. She believes that strong connections among students, parents, teachers, school leadership, alumni, the Board of Trustees, and community partners are vital to effective K-12 education. Having recently relocated to Jacksonville from Beijing, Elizabeth and her husband Charlie, along with their daughter Olivia, are excited to be joining the ASA community. Elizabeth enjoyed her visits here during the search process and is looking forward to working with all stakeholders to continue the excellent work that has been done here over the past 25 years, and take ASA into the future. Following Carolyn Baldwin’s announcement in January 2019 that she would retire as Head of School effective June 30, 2020, after serving the school for 17 years, and serving as Head of School since 2011, the Board of Trustees identified a Search Committee and engaged the services of Ted Lingenheld and Chris Dorrance of School Strategies and Solutions LLC, a consulting firm specializing in Head of School searches, to conduct a thorough search for her successor. An exceptional pool of candidates was evaluated, and seven semi-finalists were invited for interviews in July. Out of the seven, three finalists were selected and visited All Saints Academy in August and September to meet with all stakeholders. Last week the Search Committee unanimously recommended Elizabeth Hardage to the Board of Trustees as the next Head of School for All Saints Academy. The Board unanimously approved her appointment Thursday evening. “Elizabeth is the right person for All Saints Academy at the right time,” said Carolyn Baldwin upon learning of the Search Committee’s recommendation. “She brings an infectious enthusiasm and commitment to Episcopal education. Elizabeth will bring a vibrance and energy to the All Saints community that will excite everyone.” The Board of Trustees is planning ways to introduce Elizabeth, Charlie and Olivia into our community over the course of the school year.
