Two Workshops Being Held Online to Assist in Sponsorship Application Process for Arts, Culture and Heritage Funding
Auburndale, FL (Feb. 10, 2021) – Polk County Tourism and Sports Marketing (PCTSM) has announced that sponsorship applications for fiscal year 2021-2022 arts, cultural and heritage event sponsorship (covering events taking place October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2022) are now being accepted online and the final submission deadline is noon on Friday, April 16, 2021. PCTSM and the Polk Arts Alliance will once again partner to host two workshops to assist organizations that wish to apply for sponsorship funding from the Tourist Development Council (TDC) Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee. As a reminder, it is mandatory to attend one of the two workshops and the attendee must be the person from the organization that will be completing the application. This year, due to space constraints and the need to follow social distancing guidelines, these workshops will be held online, via Zoom, on the following dates and times:
Links to the Zoom meetings will be posted on the Visit Central Florida website one week prior to each workshop. Go to https://visitcentralflorida.org/about/, scroll down and click on “Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee” in the left column. The workshops will cover the guidelines and process for completing a sponsorship application packet, as well as the timeline for the fiscal year 2021-2022 application process. Applicants are encouraged to complete the application early and to call if you have questions or need technical assistance with the application. Applications must be submitted online, by Noon, on Friday, April 16, 2021. Late applications will not be accepted. No exceptions will be made. Applications not meeting the guidelines (incomplete, exceeding page/length limits or assigning improper categories, etc.) will NOT be scored.
