 The Director of Partnerships cultivates prospective new corporate and community partnerships to generate volunteers and revenue. The Director of Partnerships manages existing partner relationships and develops and implements short and long-term marketing strategies within their specific territory to ensure an optimal geographic balance for recruitment of prospective volunteers. The Polk County Director of Partnerships recruits and enrolls volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Community Based and School Based mentoring programs by driving potential volunteers to our regularly-scheduled Big Orientation & Training sessions or by arranging for a BOT to be held at the site of a corporate partner. In addition, this position will Participate as an integral member of the Development Team to meet recruitment/growth and retention goals which are key metrics of Director of Partnerships’ job performance; they will work in conjunction with both the Development and Program teams to ensure
proper stewardship and cultivation of corporate partners and volunteers. Assist program staff in developing lasting business partnerships with our targeted mentoring groups. This position will be based out of Lakeland, Fl. Qualifications Candidate will have a four-year degree or related experience; Prefer candidate is familiar with the Lakeland (and Polk County) community; Experience in volunteer management; excellent customer service skills, public speaking, staff coordination skills and ability to work with various teams; Demonstrated technology skills including MS Office, Constant Contact, desktop publishing and ability to design and write electronic communication. Work Environment/Schedule Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to various locations throughout work day.
