 Bright Smiles of Winter Haven was awarded Small Business of the Month for January! Bright Smiles of Winter Haven is a pediatric dentist office that prides themselves in offering excellent dental services in a warm and welcoming way. They not only make children and teens smile through their everyday services, but they are also bringing smiles to the community through their ability to lend a helping hand. One major way that Bright Smiles of Winter Haven is helping others is through their Candy Buyback program. They partner with the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences extension office in Bartow to collect candy leftover from Halloween festivities and send it to individuals in the military. Included with the sweet candy are also sweet notes from children to the troops. Not only does this keep the children’s teeth safe from cavities so they can have a bright smile, but it also gives the troops a reason to smile.
Educating children on dental care is a top priority at Bright Smiles of Winter Haven. Each year, their Dental Health Educator visits over 4,000 students at their schools to educate them on dental health. They teach students to brush correctly, floss and the importance of a healthy smile. They spend much of their time in Winter Haven schools, but they have also branched out to Frostproof and Haines City as well. They also engage in the Winter Haven community through local events like Snow Central. Last year, the event was rescheduled for January due to weather and the name was changed to Winter Wonderland. In previous years, they sponsored the photos with Santa Clause! They also have expressed their excitement for The Ritz Theatre coming back online, so that they continue to support local venues bringing new events to the area. It’s through their collaborative spirit and community involvement that Bright Smiles of Winter Haven is able to connect with families, support local organizations and share their love for pediatric dental care.
