Chain Life Winter Haven released some now and "what could be" photos of what they would like to do to make our canals more beautiful. This mock ups were done in partnership with Chamber member Evolve Professional Landscape Management. Winter Haven has 24 canal connected lakes that make up the Chain of Lakes. This effort is one piece of Chain Life's plans to revitalize and bring positive attention and pride to what many consider Winter Haven's greatest asset and unique selling proposition. The canal beautification through landscaping is just one piece of a greater plan, including murals along the canals. This effort, Chain Life hopes, will change the perception of Winter Haven from our residents and visitors from the unique perspective of the water - to welcome watercraft with the excitement of a threshold to a new destination.  To kickstart this effort, Chain Life will be hosting a fundraising event called "The Painted Paddle" on Friday, September 23 at 7 p.m. at Tanner's Lakeside. Tiki torches, live music by 99 in the Shade, light hors d'oeuvres, friends and fun! They will also be auctioning off beautiful canoe paddles that have been painted by local artists. By purchasing these works of art you are also helping us with canal beautification.

Canal beautification on the Chain of Lakes will be a wonderful enhancement to the Winter Haven community!

Why waste money on canals when people cannot use the lakes due to Pond Grass (weed). Clean the lakes so boats can pass from lake to lake. Then consider the cansls. Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
