The Clerk of Courts has launched a new program called Property Alert Service to help Polk property owners monitor their records. With property fraud on the rise, it’s more important than ever to monitor your records. This FREE service emails registered users each time an official record (e.g. deed, mortgage, lien, etc…) is recorded with their name and/or property information. While the service cannot prevent fraud, it helps identify possible fraud at an early stage, providing valuable time to stop criminals in their tracks. Register for FREE at www.polkcountyclerk.net and receive email alerts when records, such as deeds and mortgages, are filed using your name or property information.
