At the Commission meeting on 1/23/17 the Commissioners will vote on whether to change their current "Agenda Rule." This rule went into affect several years ago which stated that the Commission could not take an official action or vote on any item not placed on the agenda, which is published for public review on the Wednesday prior to the Commission Meeting. The exception was for items that had to do with public health or safety. On Monday night several commissioners would like to see that rule amended so that they can take action on personnel items related to their direct reports (City Manager, City Attorney and City Clerk).
