 James Rogers, RN, has been named Director of Admissions at Cornerstone Hospice and Palliative Care. Previously the admissions manager for Cornerstone’s Polk, Hardee and Highlands county region, Rogers now oversees the daily admissions operations across the entire seven-county region. Rogers, who first joined Cornerstone Hospice in 2006 as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), is now responsible for standardizing admissions practices agency-wide and enhancing operations as well as working closely with referral sources and internal teams to promote access of Cornerstone Hospice services to eligible patients. “Cornerstone Hospice has seen tremendous growth in our daily census which now surpasses 1,400 patients. James has been instrumental in managing the growth while ensuring we provide exceptional care to patients and families who are transitioning into a difficult time of their lives,” said Jason D’Auria, Vice President of Hospice Operations.
Rogers graduated from South Florida State College. He is chair of the 2018 Florida Hospice and Palliative Care Association’s Annual Conference, to be held in Orlando, in May.
