 Dunkin Donuts of Winter Haven was awarded Small Business of the Month for March! Al Mustafa, Owner of Dunkin Donuts at 1578 3rd Street SW, has always made his local relationships and organizations a top priority. Many people drive by chain stores like Dunkin Donuts and assume they are disconnected from their communities, but this family owned franchise has humbly and quietly been helping the Winter Haven community for almost 10 years. Even though Dunkin Donuts is a national brand, Al's franchise has created their own business model and are responsible for employee benefits, recognition and rewards. Recently, they won the honor of being the #1 Combo store (Dunkin/Baskin Robbins) in the Southeast Division. Al’s store is also open 24/7, helping Winter Haven stay energized and moving all day long.
Alongside the awards and recognition that he gives to his staff, Al makes numerous donations to the community such as baskets and raffle items monthly, and high school and youth sports sponsorships. At all of our local elementary schools Al has created rewards programs and holds 2 teacher appreciation days per year. Al is always striving to show his appreciation for others who are doing important work in our communities. The Fire Department and Police Department have reaped the benefits of Al’s generous heart. Anytime these departments are in need of coffee, donuts and other breakfast offerings, Al is ready to jump in and help. As recent as one week ago, Al provided coffee and donuts for a Police Officer training that hosted 300 officers from across the county. Al says time and time again, “We contribute because it’s the right thing to do.” Dunkin' Donuts Winter Haven also contributes to the Rotary Club of Winter Haven, the Kiwanis Club, Citizens Bank & Trust and so many others. Alhas never taken on the “corporate” state of mind. He continues to be a locally-focused business that is available and ready to help others.
