Last year, Hurricane Irma made landfall in Florida, causing destruction and damage to thousands of homes in its path. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is asking you to join us in helping the employees and families who are employed in your business community rebuild their homes that remain damaged by Hurricane Irma. The FL DEO is committed to helping Floridians recover from Hurricane Irma’s devastating impacts – especially those residents in our hardest hit communities. The community was identified as one of the most impacted and distressed areas eligible to register for housing assistance. In order to be eligible for the Rebuild Florida Housing Repair and Replacement Program homes must have suffered damage as a result of Hurricane Irma. Priority will be given to the most vulnerable populations:
There are Rebuild Florida centers in the most impacted counties in order to assist homeowners with the registration process. There are also three Rebuild Florida busses, visiting the most impacted counties and ZIP codes equipped with a team of specialists who will answer questions and register homeowners. Registration ends December 23rd.
