 Congratulations to Gourmet Goodies Bake Shop for winning Small Business of the Month for October! Gourmet Goodies is known for their sweet treats, but they should also be known for their sweet generosity and community engagement.  Gourmet Goodies has a long list of businesses, organizations and schools that they have helped throughout the years. They have made presentations and donations to Loughman Elementary and St Joseph Academy. They have also hosted a Cupcake class with Brooksdale Senior Living and donated free cupcakes to the City of Winter Haven Police Department many times.
Generosity through sponsorships is yet another way, Carissa and her team enrich our community. They have sponsored Bartender Bash, Relay for Life, Junior League Light up the Night, Heart 4 Winter Haven Fundraiser, Girls Inc of WH's Angels Among Us, Taste of Winter Haven and so much more. The community events that we know and love would be impossible without the financial support of businesses like Gourmet Goodies. To celebrate the holiday season Gourmet Goodies has created their own event: Grinchmas, a FREE event, where kids have an opportunity to meet the Grinch himself, take photos and eat tasty treats! This year, Grinchmas will take place on December 4th at 4:00 p.m. at their store in downtown Winter Haven. Aside from this event, they will also be creating amazing holiday cakes, yule logs and cookies that are perfect for any holiday parties you might be planning. Since they arrived in downtown Winter Haven in 2015, they have been encouraging positive collaboration, while serving up beautiful desserts that the whole community loves. Congratulations to this very sweet business on winning Small Business of the Month!
