Governor Ron DeSantis Appoints Winter Haven's Renee Butler to the Florida Real Estate Commission1/22/2021 On January 20, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Winter Haven's own Renee Butler of Brokers Realty of Central Florida - The Butler Team to the Florida Real Estate Commission. The appointment still requires confirmation from the Florida Senate, which is expected. Renee entered the real estate profession in 1978 after attending Polk State College and then Florida Southern College. In 1981 she defined her destiny and established her own real estate company. Brokers Realty of Central Florida Inc. was born and has become an established, trusted name in real estate. She joined the Winter Haven Chamber on June 1, 1984! She is a Florida Real Estate Broker, holds the distinguished Million Dollar Guild, CLHMS designation, Quality Service Certified, a Certified Residential Broker (CRB), Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation, World Wide Employee Relocation Council member, a relocation specialist, and Florida Notary. Renee and Team were voted and awarded "Best of the Best" in both the Agent and Company categories and most recently, Renee was inducted into the "Top 100" Real Estate Agents in the nation. Patricia “Patti” Ketcham Ketcham, of Tallahassee, is a licensed real estate broker and owner of the Ketcham Realty Group. She is a Past Chair of the Florida Real Estate Commission and Past President of the Tallahassee Board of Realtors. Additionally, she has been a member of the Florida Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors and the Mortgage Bankers Association. Ketcham earned her bachelor’s degree from Florida State University. Patricia Fitzgerald Fitzgerald, of Jupiter, is a licensed real estate broker and manager of Illustrated Properties. Previously, she was owner of Coastal Properties. Fitzgerald has been involved with the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches, Leadership Palm Beach County, Women of the Moose and is a member of the Miami Association of Realtors, Florida Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. She studied at the University of Minnesota and Minnesota State University, Mankato. Randy Schwartz Schwartz, of Winter Springs, is an attorney and former general counsel for the Florida Association of Realtors. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and the University of Central Florida in addition to being the former Bureau Chief for the Real Estate Bureau of the Orlando Field Office of the Florida Attorney General. Schwartz earned his juris doctor from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law. Richard Barbara Barbara, of Coral Gables, is an attorney specializing in real estate, general civil and commercial litigation. He was selected as a “Top Up and Coming Attorney” by Florida Trend and has been a member of the Baptist Health South Florida Foundation, Miami Cancer Institute and C-Suite Miami. Barbara earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida International University and his juris doctor from Stetson University College of Law. These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
