This Father’s Day, Frederick Sosa and Tiffany Anderson have something special to celebrate. Not only do they share a father-and-daughter bond, but they also recently graduated together from Saint Leo University. Anderson is the assistant academic advisor for Saint Leo’s Lakeland Education Center. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Sosa also graduated from Saint Leo’s Lakeland center with Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. The duo from Lakeland received their degrees at the university’s commencement ceremony for its Florida locations on April 27 at the Florida State Fairgrounds. Born in Roswell, New Mexico, to Fredrick “Roy” Sosa and Amanda Sosa, Tiffany Renee Anderson attended Roswell High School and graduated with honors in 2003. Her mother and her brothers Freddie, Anthony, and Joshua reside in Roswell. Her brother, Joey, is deceased.
Sosa, also is a Roswell native, and was born to Freddie and Mary Sosa. He graduated from Goddard High School in Roswell 1981. He is married to Joyce Sosa, and his youngest daughter is Alyessa Self. Many of Anderson’s and Sosa’s family members joined in the Saint Leo commencement celebration. “Our educational journeys intertwined in a true relationship-mending, educational, spiritual, mental, and emotional chapter in both of our lives,” Anderson said of graduating at the same time as her father.
