Today we had the chance to attend the grand opening ceremony for the newest addition to LEGOLAND Florida, LEGO NINJAGO World! This opening ceremony was nothing short of grand. Good Morning Orlando, celebrities, riding NINJAGO The Ride, and red carpet interviews were just some of the highlights of this grand opening.
The grand opening ceremony opened with a "highly trained ninja" who spoke of the activities inside NINJAGO World that help prepare young ninjas to protect this peaceful world from dangerous enemies. He introduced Zane's Temple Build, Jay's Lightning Drills, Cole's Rock Climb, and Kai's spinners that are all a part of challenging children to find their inner ninja and sharpen their combat skills. As a part of the ceremony, the ninja experts taught the audience the 5 main moves to be successful on NINJAGO The Ride. But the ninja's did not teach us alone, they invited celebrity guests to help the audience learn these critical ninja moves.
The cast of the Netflix original citcom, "Fuller House", joined the ninja's of NINJAGO World to help teach the audience the 5 ninja moves that help you succeed in NINJAGO The Ride. Elias Harger and McKenna Grace, who play Max and Rose on the show, mastered The Chops of Fury. The Lightning Strike was tested by Soni Bringas, who plays Ramona. Next, Michael Campion, who plays Jackson, presented The Shuriken Shuffle. Ashley Liao, who plays Lola, revealed The Fireball Flinger. Last, but certainly not least, Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie Tanner, introduced The Cobra. These celebrity guests were then invited to help our ninja warriors officialy open LEGO NINJAGO World!
NINJAGO The Ride
You can't have an exciting grand opening with out a wave of confetti coming over you and that is just what happened when LEGO NINJAGO World was announced as officially open. After the confetti cloud subsided, media guests were invited to test their newly found skills on NINJAGO The Ride. This was my first time ever riding NINJAGO The Ride and it was truly amazing! Mainly using The Cobra, I racked up 125,000 points! This unfortunetly did not win me the vicotry because Chamber President, Katie Worthington, scored 126,000 points! Even though I was not victorious, I was amazed at the technology and how easy it was to play this game. By hovering my movements above the sensor, I was able to get the hang of the game quickly. No matter what moves you did, the 5 main ninja moves or one of your own, this ride was easy to learn and fun to play. NINJAGO The Ride is guarenteed to be a hit at LEGOLAND Florida.
The Red Carpet
Following the test drive of NINJAGO The Ride, the media and press were invited to ask questions and take pictures of the celebrity guests on the red carpet. Eh Bee Family, who are social media sensations, were the first family to visit the red carpet. The Eh Bee Family told LEGOLAND Florida Resort TV that their favorite move was The Fire Flinger and that they had a blast on NINJAGO The Ride.
Next on the red carpet was Evan, Jillian, and their parents, from EvanTubeHD, a youtube channel that follows Evan and Jillian as they share different kinds of "kid fun!" Evan told LEGOLAND Florida Resort TV that he loved how he felt like he was actually in the ride. He also shared how much he enjoyed the 3D animations and the technology behind NINJAGO The Ride.
The cast of "Fuller House" was the next celebrity group to walk the LEGOLAND red carpet. As they walked down the red carpet, they posed in their best ninja stance! These celebrities looked like professional ninja's after riding NINJAGO The Ride. Soni Bringas gave LEGOLAND Florida Resort TV a tip for the ride, saying how staying close, but not too close, to the sensor on the ride is key to your moves being successful against the bad guys. All of these celebrities channeled their inner ninja and proved their skills and knowledge out on the red carpet!
LEGO NINJAGO World's grand opening was a great success. NINJAGO World will take children into a whole new world that ignites imagination and activates adventure.
