On January 7, Chamber members were given a sneak preview of LEGOLAND Florida Resort's newest addition, LEGO NINJAGO The Ride. NINJAGO World and NINJAGO The Ride do not officially open until January the 12th, but Chamber members were given a unique opportunity to "Become the Ninja," before anyone else.
In NINJAGO World, inspired by a LEGO TV show called, "LEGO NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu," children and adults are given the chance to summon their inner ninja by participating in hands on activities scattered through out NINJAGO World that enhance their ninja abilities.
Before you go on the ride, you can go through the ninja training that is scattered throughout the new world. You can build on LEGO NINJAGO'S Monestary at Zane's Temple Build, practice speed at Jay's Lightning Drill, rock climb at Cole's Rock Climb, and practice your spinjitzu on Kai's spinners! These activities will help engage in children's balance, endurance, and imagination ultimately making them an invincable ninja. NINJAGO World is packed with action packed fun for all sizes and ages! Not only are these activities fun and captivating , they prepare young (and adult) ninjgas for the ultimate challenge: NINJAGO The Ride.
Jay's Lightning Drill:
On the new NINJAGO The Ride you can punch, slice, and karate chop your way to victory! This new and exciting 3D animated ride detects hand motions with technology only found in LEGOLAND Florida! NINJAGO The Ride, unlike other themepark rides doesn't use laser lights or toy guns to hit the targets. NINJAGO is a completely hands free ride that detects motion. In this ride there are motion sensors that detect movement, so children do not have to do anything but use their ninja moves and trust the detectors to do the rest! It's not as easy as it sounds, but at least from my personal experience, kids seemed to catch on faster than adults. I was probably over thinking it. Pro-tip, don't get to close to the sensor. Stay about 8 inches above it. My mom seemed to get it pretty quickly. Check out the ice chunks she is throwing!
Using their hands, children will throw fireballs, lightning, and more in order to win the high score and defeat their foes, Fangpyre, Hypnobrai, Lord Garmadon’s Skeleton Army and the Great Devourer. This aspect of the ride makes it easy for all ages to experience the great fun this ride has to offer. As children use their ninja moves, such as The Cobra and Chops of Fury, they are able to defeat villans and earn points. NINJAGO The Ride allows children to be a part of the action that they see unfold on screen. Want to learn how to get a high score on this ride?
