 We would like to congratulate Mannix Pools and Grills on being awarded “Small Business of the Month.” BJ Mannix is a humble man who is always willing to lend a helping hand. Recently, he hosted the Winter Haven EggFest to benefit Girls Inc. and the Citrus Center Boys and Girls Club. People traveled from all over the country to participate and some just came to try all of the amazing food that was being cooked on the incredible Green Eggs, (which incidentally BJ sells in his store). This event raised over $8,000 for two deserving community organizations. This event was a huge success and the 2nd annual Eggfest is already scheduled for February 23, 2019 - Save the Date! BJ's community service doesn't end there. He quietly takes part in and organizes many other drives, events and activities to help and assist his fellow Florida citizens... BJ spends a lot of time with his family in the Keys and when hurricane Irma caused serious damage there, he and a few friends decided to head over with any supplies they could fit in their trucks. Well, that small idea turned into a huge gesture, with many people wanting to pitch in and help. They ended up receiving supplies and donations from people all over Winter Haven and Polk County. We are so blessed to have people like BJ in our community. Thank you and keep up all of the great work!
