 MIDFLORIDA Credit Union invites car collectors and enthusiasts to register their vehicles in the 20th MIDFLORIDA Auto Show & Lake Mirror Concours, taking place the weekend of Oct. 18-20. Participants can register online at www.midfloridaautoshow.com before Aug. 31 to receive an early bird discount. Registration closes on Oct. 1. This three-day Central Florida show fills downtown Lakeland and the surrounding area with a full schedule of events and experiences for registered car owners and spectators alike. The Budweiser Hot Rod Rendezvous presented by Boys & Girls Clubs of Polk County kicks off the weekend on Friday night at Lake Mirror Park with a show of hot rods, an outdoor concert, food vendors and more. On Saturday, premium and collector vehicles from 1972 and earlier surround the shores of Lake Mirror as part of the Concours, and cars of all years and makes line the blocks of downtown Lakeland for the Auto Show. The Road Rally closes out the festivities on Sunday with a scenic 40-50 miles-long challenging route disclosed only through turn-by-turn directions, ending in a surprise location with lunch and prizes. Anyone is welcome to register a vehicle for any part of the weekend, and spectators can attend free of charge.
