We are honored to award New Electric, LLC Small Business of the Month! Frank and Janet Csomos not only run a very successful business, they also spend countless hours giving back to the Winter Haven community. One of their core beliefs is that a business is only as good as its community. Frank started New Electric, five years ago with just two employees and himself and now his team has grown to 15. He spends his long work days striving to grow his business and his people. Frank proudly fosters an environment of professional development, growth from within and education for all his team, and feels it important to provide a positive and supportive work environment for everyone. His love for the community and business inspiration comes from, his longtime mentor and friend Rob Krieger, who took Frank under his wing when he first came to Florida in the late ‘80s. “Rob was like family to me and I am the man I am today because of him. I still often make decisions after thinking “What would Rob do”, and I will be forever grateful for the time I spent working at Krieger Electric, Rob’s loss was a tragedy.”
As well as building a great business, Frank has worked tirelessly to serve many of Winter Haven’s community organizations. He sits on the Board for the Citrus Center Boys and Girls Club a passion he has had for over 17 years, playing a key role in the creation of the wildly popular “Smoke on the Water” event, which enables the Boys and Girls Club to raise much needed funds. Frank and his team at New Electric have also given back to the youth of Winter Haven by helping in the renovation of Gram Parson’s Derry Down. Frank offered the Derry Down his electrical services completely in-kind so that they could continue Gram’s legacy and to allow Winter Havens youth to have a venue for artistic activity. Because of his team’s hard work, the Derry Down is now a thriving center for the arts. Anita Strang, President of Main Street Winter Haven and the Derry Down said, “It is wonderful to see New Electric receive this acknowledgment for their generosity to the community. For New Electric giving back is tradition. It is who they are.” Frank has also focused on hunger efforts in Winter Haven and supports The Mission in their work. Everyone at New Electric has a passion to help our city and its residents and to always be open to help when needed. Not only has New Electric worked with amazing non-profit organizations, they have also worked with many businesses throughout Winter Haven and in our downtown core. New Electric have been instrumental in bringing to life many of our downtown favorites like Tempo 1930, CNP, Jensen’s Corner Bar, Grove Roots and countless others, one of their current projects is with Six/Ten LLC to bring Pennoni’s offices to the downtown business district. We are honored to be able to award Frank and New Electric with this prestigious award. New Electric is a beam of light in our community and we are excited to continue to see them grow!
