 Pobjecky & Pobjecky, LLP – Global Immigration Law was awarded Small Business of the Month! Artie Renee Pobjecky, owner of Pobjecky & Pobjecky, has made community engagement a top priority in her business. From the beginning when her father opened the business in 1984 to today, where she leads the way, Pobjecky & Pobjecky has been a great example of what it means to help others. One way Artie is helping community non-profit organizations is through board service. She currently serves on the GiveWell Community Foundation Board, as well as here at the Greater Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce. As the incoming board Chair of the Chamber Board, Artie will continue to offer new ideas and direction for the Chamber in 2019 – 2020. She was also the former Secretary and Board Member for Girl’s Inc. of Winter Haven where she has been honored with the “She Knows Where She is Going” Award. Serving on these boards has given Artie the opportunity to stay involved in the community while also being able to utilize her skills and talents to help drive these these non-profit organizations forward.
Education is another way that Artie is helping others. A fervent supporter of Polk State College, Artie was recognized recently as an “Outstanding Contributor” to the Polk State Foundation, which offers scholarships and assistance to students. On a more “hands on” basis, she is a frequent lecturer of continuing legal education programs and has spoken on behalf of the American Bar Association, civic organizations, law schools and state bar associations at local, State and National level. In addition to selecting her for speaking engagements to educate others, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Central Florida Chapter, bestowed Artie with the “Outstanding Contributions to the Chapter” award. Artie and her family business have been wonderful examples to our community of what service, dedication and community engagement look like. We are excited to see her continue to serve Winter Haven and help others! Congratulations!
