The recent cyber-attack on the Colonial Pipeline infrastructure which transports 45 percent of the oil consumed on the east coast of the US caused long lines at the pump, rising prices per gallon, and the president announced a temporary state of emergency. This is a serious wake up call to our companies to the devastation of a ransomware cyber-attack. Polk State College has teamed with Miami-Dade College and the Department of Labor to provide partial grant funded training for employees in the cyber security field. We are providing training that will teach your staff powerful tools for your company to address cyber security issues and hopefully, pre-empt cyber-attacks.
All classes have an on-the-job (OJT) requirement, and you can add to the existing OJT template for customization. These offerings may help you and your companies with technical ability and peace of mind when and if you get targeted. The training is offered online, at their own pace, at a small fraction of the time and cost of traditional methods. Join us for one of the presentations as we outline the programs available and how you can expand your understanding of the cyber threat and expand your workforce capability while taking advantage of partial grant funding.
