Starting in November 2016 Polk County will be home to the Florida Tropics Soccer Club. The Florida Tropics is a new professional indoor soccer team that will be based at The Lakeland Center. Team owner Andrew Haines has over 15 years experience in owning and/or managing sports teams in indoor soccer, indoor football, hockey and basketball.  Andrew and Leah Haines recently relocated to Central Florida from St. Louis where Andrew was CEO/General Manager and Leah was President of the St. Louis Ambush, which have a long history in that city. Andrew started Central Florida Sports Ventures, LLC which is a sports management company that focuses on developing and maintaining sports related entities including the Florida Tropics.  Recently Mr. Haines named Andrew Ross as General Manager and Vice President of Operations of the Florida Tropics.Ross will oversee the companies business operations and report directly to the team ownership. Ross joins the company after spending the past 2 years working for Orlando City Soccer Club. Prior to working with Orlando City, Andrew worked directly under the Executive Vice President of Operations at USL (United Soccer League) headquartered in Tampa. Ross also gained experience with indoor soccer while working with the Syracuse Silver Knights during his college tenure. He has over 15 years of playing experience both in the United States and abroad, and has been coaching youth soccer for the past 5 years.
