Robert Nelson Installed as Comptroller of K of C’s Frank J. Durbin Fourth Degree Assembly 26089/5/2018  Robert Nelson of Haines City was
installed as Comptroller of the Frank J. Durbin Fourth Degree Assembly 2608, the
patriotic/ceremonial arm of Knights of Columbus Council 7091 of Cypress Gardens, at a meeting on September 4 in the St. Matthew parish center in Winter Haven.
A veteran knight, who is a charter member and past Faithful Navigator of the assembly, Nelson fills a vacancy created when George Marhefka resigned due to a move to the Gainesville area. The inducting officer was Sal Porta, past Faithful Navigator of the assembly and current Grand Knight of Council 7091. The Frank J. Durbin Fourth Degree Assembly 2608 draws its members from K of C Council 7091, which is aligned with St. Matthew Church, and Council 11651, which is associated with St. Anthony Church in Lakeland. The Fourth Degree is the patriotic/ceremonial arm of the K of C.
