SPCA Florida’s Annual Critter Camp will be held this summer with camps in June and July. Critter Camp is open to children from grades 4 to 9 and is offered at the SPCA Florida Campus located at 5850 Brannen Road South. This year, we have added a week for rising 8th and 9th graders who will also learn about animal welfare careers, volunteering and being an animal advocate in our community. Camp weeks will be filled with crafts, games and service projects that are designed to educate and inspire our youth to practice a lifestyle of compassion, respect and responsibility through the humane treatment of animals. Be sure to register now, as space is limited. To register, please visit the SPCA Florida website. Critter Camp is $250 per camper for the entire week.
Camp weeks are: June 14th -18th and July 12th – 16th Available to rising 4th and 5th grade campers. June 21st – 25th and July 19th – 23rd Available to rising 6th and 7th grade campers. June 28th – July 2nd Available to rising 8th and 9th grade campers. For best practices during COVID-19, we are limiting sessions to 15 kids campers week, and performing temperature checks every morning. Children must bring a mask and hand sanitizer and hand washing will take place throughout the day. Teachers will also wear masks. About SPCA Florida Founded in 1979, SPCA Florida exists to eliminate animal suffering and engage the entire community in the welfare and well-being of animals. SPCA Florida will help and heal 70,000 dogs and cats through its McClurg Animal Medical Center and provide direct care for 6,500 animals through its Adoption Center this year. Ani-Meals, which provides food and medical care for animals of homebound families, helps thousands more dogs and cats each year.
