To summarize some of the changes the SBA put out the following information. They will: - Establish a 14-day (Wednesday, February 24 through Wednesday, March 10, 2021), exclusive PPP loan application period for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees - Allow sole proprietors, independent contractors, and self-employed individuals to receive more financial support by revising the PPP’s funding formula for these categories of applicants - Eliminate an exclusionary restriction on PPP access for small business owners with prior non-fraud felony convictions - Eliminate PPP access restrictions on small business owners who have struggled to make federal student loan payments by eliminating federal student loan debt delinquency and default as disqualifiers to participating in the PPP; and - Ensure access for non-citizen small business owners who are lawful U.S. residents by clarifying that they may use Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) to apply for the PPP. If you believe these modifications may be of assistance to your business, please reach out to your preferred lender. Keep in mind that this is new information and more guidance may be required for our banks. State: On Tuesday, the Governor announced that select CVS locations will be administering the COVID 19 vaccine. There are two locations in Polk, one in Haines City and one in Lakeland. As of writing this email, both sites were full for available appointments. You can monitor the availability and learn more at https://www.cvs.com/immunizations/covid-19-vaccine The Governor also released additional guidance on who will be eligible for the next phase of vaccine rollout. As a result of four additional federally run vaccine sites in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville and Miami, Gov. DeSantis anticipates being able to open the pool to first responders and classroom teachers over the age of 50. He did not specify a timeline as to when the eligibility will be expanded.
