 We would like to congratulate StoreRight - Recker Highway on being awarded Small Business for the Month of September! This company does more than provide a place for people to store their belongings. StoreRight is a selfless business who is all about supporting people in our community who are in need. Every year, Cricket, Manager of StoreRight - Recker Highway, finds two families at Thanksgiving and Christmas time to supply food for them to have holiday dinners. During this season, it is easy for us to take for granted what we have, but StoreRight - Recker Highway is going the extra mile to make sure that everyone has everything that they need to have a happy holiday season. They also partner with Toys for Tots to donate Christmas trees to five families in need.
Another way that they are helping others in the Winter Haven community is through a program called “Kids Pack.” This program allows them to help feed children in Polk County that are only able to eat at school. These children don’t have the money or resources to eat outside of school hours. Kids Pack is a meal that goes home with the child after school so they have something to eat for dinner. Anyone in the community can stop by any of their stores to donate items to help as well. Cricket also donated two storage units to two families last year after Hurricane Irma destroyed their roofs. In a time of devastation for these families, StoreRight - Recker Highway was able to step in and provide them with a temporary but helpful solution. They also allowed American Red Cross access to their facility so that they could help people in need during the hurricane. Cricket and the StoreRight - Recker Highway team have a passion for lending a helping hand to those who cannot help themselves. Their selflessness and love for our community is one of the many reasons why they were awarded this prestigious designation.
