Patrouille de FranceThe SUN ‘n FUN International Fly- In & Expo presented by VISIT FLORIDA and the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association honors French and United States history on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 as the French National Jet Team, the Patrouille de France performs during the airshow. The team has an energetic show with nine Alpha Jets and one A-400M airlifter, which are light attack and advanced trainer aircraft. Their display involves both formation and solo maneuvers. The team is based at Salon Air Force Base in France. The team will perform for one day only while on the SUN ‘n FUN Expo Campus. They haven’t performed in the United States since 1986 when they flew over New York City and then performed at Coney Island. They commemorated the Battle of Yorktown by flying over Yorktown Battlefield Monument in Yorktown, VA in 2009. The team is appearing in the United States to honor the 100th Anniversary of America entering the 1st World War on April 6, 1917. Their performance during the 43rd Annual SUN ‘n FUN International Fly-In & Expo is one of their few displays in the United States during their two-month long tour of the country. Phillips 66 AerostarsThe Phillips 66 Aerostars precision aerobatic demo team will perform two thrilling day and night air shows on Tues., Apr. 4, 2:30 – 5:30 p.m. and Wed., April 5, 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to an exclusive meet-and-greet and autograph signing with the Aerostars at the Phillips 66 booth N-30 Tues., Apr. 4, 5:00 p.m. and Wed., Apr. 5, 1:00 p.m.
Co-branded Phillips 66 Aviation and Aerostars adult- and children-sized shirts will be available for purchase. Supply is limited so don’t delay in stopping by! Phillips 66 Lubricants Scientist Steven Strollo will discuss the science behind keeping aircraft running smoothly and how they produced the first multi-weight mineral/conventional oil in the aviation industry on Wed., Apr. 5, 11:00 a.m. Attendees can preview Phillips 66’s new line of automotive products, PHILLIPS 66 SHIELD™ MOTOR OIL, and shop a wide selection of aviation lubricant products. Patrons who make a lubricants purchase at the show will take home one of our popular branded pilot caps. Phillips 66–sponsored ’39 Plymouth Radial Air inventor, Gary Corns, will sign autographs and talk with guests about his aviation-inspired truck on Tues., Apr. 4, 5:00 p.m. and Wed., Apr. 5, 1:00 p.m. The vehicle’s story was one of Motor Trend Most Popular Stories of 2016 and featured on Jay Leno's Garage.
