On May 31st, 2017 following 15 years of service, Suzie Moraco will retire from her role as Associate Vice President / Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, Winter Haven. She holds the distinguished Certified Financial Planner™ designation. A native Floridian and a Winter Haven resident for over 20 years, Suzie has been actively involved in the Winter Haven community since the moment she moved to the area. Her service to the community includes volunteering for children-focused organizations such as President of The Kiwanis Club of Winter Haven and on the advisory council of Our Children’s Rehab.
She has also dedicated her time to the betterment of the business community and is a 2004 graduate of the Leadership Winter Haven program. She was named Distinguished Alumnus of the Year for Leadership Winter Haven in 2008. She graduated from Leadership Polk in 2015. Suzie served on the Chamber’s board of directors from 2005-2011. She volunteered for many years with the Community Foundation of Greater Winter Haven and as board chair was instrumental in combining the Community Foundation of Greater Lakeland with Winter Haven to form GiveWell Community Foundation. She currently serves as Board Chair for GiveWell. In 2011 Girls Inc. of Winter Haven recognized her with the “She Knows Where She’s Going” George Jenkins award. This award recognizes women whose abilities, aspirations and achievements distinguish them as exceptional role models. Perhaps one of her biggest imprints on Winter Haven has its greatest impact not on us humans but on our four-legged residents. Suzie served on the board of the Humane Society of Polk County for more than 15 years and in partnership with their executive director, Lisa Baker and dedicated board members, led the effort to build the amazing new shelter on Dundee Road. She was honored for her efforts to the community by being bestowed Winter Haven's highest honor, the Banker's Cup Citizens of the Year Award in 2016. Suzie is looking forward to continuing her community work and enjoying more time with her husband Sal and the Moraco cats.

One of my best happenings was when I became aware of you, Suzi...and constantly learning more of your abilities, commitment, and achievements. You remains unaffected, always gracious. Here's all the best to you and Sal as you carry out your hopes and dreams.

Susie, I have a feeling that retirement for the average person is going to look much different than your retirement. You have always been a great example to me. Many will know of the accolades you have received and earned, but most will not know how you took three young boys under your wing and spent time teaching them how to invest. I also watched how you made everyone feel special time after time-myself included. Thank you for all of the many, many hours and effort you have given to our community. I am honored to call you my friend. You have earned this retirement. I hope you enjoy every minute of it!
