The Winter Haven Chamber’s Board of Directors announces that a nationwide and local search for the next President & CEO position has begun for the 5- Star Accredited Chamber. The ideal candidate will be a key community leader, focused on advocating for, protecting and enhancing the business environment to the benefit of businesses of all sizes and will play an integral role in forming public policy at the municipal, county and state level by forming relationships with elected officials, business leaders and community partners to accomplish the goals of the chamber. Current President & CEO, Sara Beth Wyatt, is stepping down to run for re-election to the Polk County School Board. The chamber wishes her well as she continues to make a positive impact on our community, with a focus on our county’s youth. During her tenure as President & CEO, the chamber launched the Youth Leadership Winter Haven program, completed its building renovations, finished the second phase of the capital campaign, relaunched the Leadership Winter Haven Alumni Program, and, most notably, earned the prestigious U.S. Chamber of Commerce 5- star Accreditation for the second time. “It has been the honor of a lifetime to serve this organization as President & CEO. My life’s passion is to serve our community, and I hope that Winter Haven will be a little better place because of the work we’ve accomplished together during my tenure,” stated Wyatt. The chamber is proud of all that has been accomplished under Wyatt’s leadership and is eager to find the next capable leader for the organization. The future of the Winter Haven Chamber is bright, and the Board of Directors and staff look forward to continuing to provide nationally recognized service to its members and the community for many years to come.
