 The Winter Haven Public Education Partnership needs YOUR help! Their program, Ready, Set, Read!, is designed to promote reading proficiency in first-grade classrooms. In 2018-2019 they piloted this program at Garden Grove Elementary with incredible gains in students literacy skills. Tutors work one-on-one with 6 to 8 students for 30 minutes each, twice a week, and can identify potential issues and reinforce positive progress. PEP created this effective program because 40%-60% of children are not ready for kindergarten when they arrive. After a successful pilot program this year, they now want a tutor in every first-grade classroom in Winter Haven! Will you join them in making the future brighter for these students?
Here’s how you can get involved: -Donate $5,000 to sponsor the cost of one tutor, training and supplies for the 2019/2020 school year. -Donate any amount towards the cost of a tutor. -Become a tutor to be directly involved in the program.
