 President & Publisher of Sun Central Media Group, Chris Sexson, announced today the launch of The Winter Haven Sun weekly community paper. "We are so excited and proud to announce the first edition of The Winter Haven Sun! Winter Haven now has a weekly community paper to call its own. As of today, August 5, 2016 more than 17,000 copies of the paper were circulated into the city of Winter Haven and through surrounding communities. The paper will be delivered to the doorsteps of 13,000 homes weekly and 4,500 are now available for pick up at stands in and around the city. Readers also will have access to daily content online at www.winterhavensun.com. The Winter Haven Sun has been an ongoing project for some time. We introduced the Polk County Sun in the Winter Haven market over a year ago. The community embraced the paper. Early this year we began to establish our distribution location and neighborhoods to prepare for today's launch of the Winter Haven Sun. The Winter Haven Sun is just one of the changes and new products we plan to launch this year. We are proud to be creating new products to serve the local community during a time when many daily newspapers across the country are cutting back. Our Goal is to be local, local, local. I would like to suggest a story on the Friends of the Week niter Haven Public Library Bookstore. We are,the best and largest used bookstore in Polk county. Also, on,the 13th of every month, all books in the store are half price all the money we make in the bookstore goes to help supply books and programs for the library. Trent Rowe is FOL president.
